The Income Protection Insurance sold by the video producers is a workplace scheme paid for by employers. It only covers sickness and accident, whereas the i:protect product also covers unemployment. If you want Income Protection Insurance that includes unemployment cover for up to one year and know your employer does not offer this type of insurance to their staff (most don't, or perhaps you are self employed), buying the i:protect low-cost alternative would make a lot of sense.
