Transferring from another provider
You can easily transfer a current payment protection policy from another provider.
The process is built into the application. All you have to do is confirm:
- you have an existing Payment Protection policy in force
- you can meet the eligibility criteria below:
- You need to be able to provide us with the name of your existing insurer
- You must have held your existing policy for more than 6 months
- You are applying for no more than £200 more monthly benefit than your existing policy
- You can confirm that your existing policy is still active
- You have not made a claim against your policy in the last 2 years
Please do not cancel your existing policy until you have received confirmation that your i:protect policy has been accepted by us.
